Weekend Family Photoshoot at the Beach! | Laguna Beach | Los Angeles Lifestyle Family Photographer

There's something about the beach that takes my breath away every. single. time. The crashing waves, the feeling of the warm sun, the salty ocean smell -- it feels completely overwhelming in the most welcoming and warm way.

The opportunity to capture the Lam family was a surprise for me, as they were only in town for a limited time. I'm SO glad the timing worked out, as this was probably one of my most FAVORITE shoots ever. The beach setting seem to bring out a more carefree JOY out of everyone. They danced, ran, played, splashed, wrote in the sand... all while the sun changed the sky from blue, to pink, to yellow, to orange.

It was an absolute dream to capture this family who loves the ocean as much as me, but more importantly, this family exemplified so much that I hope and pray my family to be one day. 15 years of marriage later, Jessie and Roger still laughed at each other's jokes and had so much patience and tenderness towards their kids. The 4 kids were kind, welcoming, respectful, and all played with one another (even though the oldest and youngest are almost 10 years apart!) Seriously, #familygoals!
